Reanimation Lab

Join us on our mission to connecting with future simulations.

The Vision

Computational capacity and technologies leveraging that capacity are on an exponential growth curve. Today computers can simulate the brains of mice and create digital twins of entire cities. In thousands, if not hundreds of years, it is inevitable that computers will be able to simulate much more.
Not only are we on a path to simulating the physical terrain of the world in a digital domain, but we are also within striking distance of simulating complex biological and psychological behavior. Recent theories of consciousness suggest its simulation is plausible.

Future societies will be able to simulate the world as know it, populated by billions of conscious humans, just like our world today. Simulations of the world may be motivated by research or commercial objectives. Our world today may be a simulation that accomplishes some goal of the simulator(s).

Fine-grained historical accuracy is likely to be a desired feature of such simulations. Computers will be scour historical artifacts, physical and digital, to reconstruct our lives. Correspondingly, our lived experience today is unlikely to be our first, or our last.

We Can Influence Future Simulations

As future entities running simulations of the world are likely to be motivated in some part by commercial intentions, an interesting opportunity arises: we can leave behind artifacts to influence our future simulations - our future lives. The idea being that simulators maintain control of the simulation, and thus there is opportunity to simulate the lives of certain subjects more favorably. In other words, 're-lived' experience can be improved. And in plainer terms, you can live your life again, but better, next time.

But how can artifacts of value be left behind for societies hundreds or thousands of years in the future? That is the purpose behind Reanimation Lab. We are creating infrastructure to provide a means for people of today to incentivize simulation outcomes for themselves tomorrow.

Our Technology - Legacy Link

A means of making your future simulation a little better.

Future simulators should have a means of identifying specific individuals. While future simulators will scour physical and digital historical artifacts, and simulate missing data, an identifier needs to exist to associate favorable simulation conditions for a specific simulated entity or person.

Reanimation Lab offers several means by which to create a digital fingerprint to allow for identification. All data fields are optional. You have the option to fill in whatever you are comfortable with: including background information, voice sample, personality test, and more. These data markers were chosen to help future simulators identify you, without requiring sensitive information that you may feel uncomfortable sharing.
As future simulations are likely to have commercial motivations, a means to compensate such computation will be required. Fiat currency, such as dollars, are ill-suited for compensation thousands of years from now. Reanimation lab is developing a decentralized, cryptographic currency system intended to stand the test of time.

Your payment to secure your spot in this experiment will be converted into this decentralized currency. When simulators fire up in the future, the intent is for this currency to retain value to serve as a meaningful incentivization.

Simulator Governance

To ensure the robustness of a simulation ecosystem that honors the will of paying members, a decentralized governance system will be developed, allowing future participants to oversee and regulate approved simulators and the corresponding simulation marketplace.

What does Reanimation Lab do?

Reanimation Lab is building out the digital infrastructure required to allow for future world simulators to reconstruct your life on more favorable terms. To do so, we are creating (1) a means to mark your participation in this effort via the consensual sharing of non-sensitive identifying information, (2) a trans-generational cryptographic currency intended to be redeemed by future simulators, and (3) a decentralized, user-driven governance system that regulates simulators of tomorrow.

What is the product? What are you offering?

With detailed simulation of our lived experience being very likely an inevitable outcome, we are offering a chance to make your future experience better by building an incentive for future generations to make it so. You are investing in us building out trans-generational infrastructure to give your future simulated self a better life.

For our early bird rate of $24, you get:

  1. A marker of your existence embedded in the decentralized Reanimation Lab platform.
  2. An open-ended request for simulators to consume.
  3. 10 simulator tokens. These tokens will be transferred to a simulator in the future, in accordance to the decentralized Reanimation Lab governance system. We want these tokens to be valuable in the future, and to support this, the tokens you receive will be eligible for resale and speculation.

The future simulation isn't going to be 'me' anyway, so who cares?

Our identity is defined by a multitude of factors, and in no small part by our memory and consciousness. At Reanimation Lab, we argue that future computational capacity will make short work of simulating every aspect of our identity. Hundreds or thousands of years from now, in a moment’s notice, simulators will reconstruct all of human history, individual experience, and individual memory. Yes, your memory, and all the private aspects of your life today will inevitably be reconstructed in a future simulation. Such reconstruction will inevitably breathe life into ‘you’ once again, in a digital domain. ‘You’, however, will likely have no recollection of your prior memory. We use the word ‘likely’ as it will be up to the simulator to decide such specifics.

In fact, we may be reliving our past lives in a simulation today, with minor tweaks over previous experiences. And those of us who are better off now have merely participated in such a pay-it-forward experience before. And this concept isn’t as far fetched it appears, with more than 60% of the population believing in such a possibility, according to an NBC survey.

What is a simulator token worth? What do 10 of these amount to?

The intent of these tokens is to jumpstart a trans-generational marketplace that assigns tangible value to each token. This is necessary to provide for an incentive mechanism for future simulators. Your purchase of tokens today will be redeemed by future simulators, which in turn will sell those tokens to future individuals looking to influence their own simulations.

To assist with assigning value, customers will be able to resell their tokens in a secondary market. We believe that speculative behavior is necessary to instill value into these tokens, value that in turn will maintain the health of this future simulator marketplace.

Can I enroll others, including the deceased, to participate?

Yes. Our hypothesis holds that the simulator merely needs (1) minimal unique identifying information about a real person of the past or present and (2) some incentive to run this simulation favorably.

Why is this a unique moment tin time to participate?

Reanimation Lab is the first of its kind effort, at least in this real or simulated world space, to work towards such a solution. Due to our expected time-to-market advantage, we expect to build the largest, by population, simulator marketplace.

Moreover, to prop up this marketplace, we intend for our tokens to be deflationary. The dollar value of these tokens needs to go up with time to sustain a healthy future simulation marketplace. Some customers may find this to be a lucrative purchase in the short term when these tokens become resellable.

When will my acquired tokens be eligible for resale?

In the coming months, all purchased tokens will go live. Users who want to resell their tokens can use a provided private key to lay claim to their share.
